Oh My GOD.....

Well, after much moaning and groaning from my office I finally got this blog up. It is said we resist the most what we need the most and the forces have been battling me as I attempt to get everything in place for my weight loss journey.
Chet, my office neighbor is making fun of me as I muddle thru getting this blog up. He actually gave me the idea for the name... inadvertently.
Anyway, it's time. Thank's to Brianna for taking a quick picture of me. I have been avoiding any kind of picture for years. There was a point in my life that I threw myself in front of any camera I saw. Not now. That needs to change.
I work at the largest food bank in the United States of America. In the 5 years I've worked here I believe I have gained 35 - 40 pounds. I notice that alot of new hires put on some weight. I don't know if it is the osmosis of calories that happens as we walk thru the warehouse or the reaction to the stresses of distributing over 72 million lbs of food to the folks in need around us. Witnessing what we do everyday can bring us joy and stress. Both occasions for eating.
NO WE CAN'T EAT THE FOOD AT THE FOOD BANK. So we must rule that out.  All in all there will be others here at St. Mary's taking this journey with me. We are partnering with the Pound for Pound Campaign and Biggest loser program. That info... my next post. I have to figure out how to share this now...  put up more widget things... links..

  2. LOL! I LOVE IT!!!

You know, you are right about the new hires gaining weight. I gained about 10 pounds when I started, Ironically, I have always had a hard time gaining weight, not anymore apparently!
    Nice job Elizabeth!
